Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has an opening for the post of Deputy Secretary General at its head office in Gurgaon, Haryana. 

AEPC, sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles; Government of India was incorporated in 1978.  AEPC, the nodal agency to promote exports of readymade garments from India, is the largest export promotion Council with several offices across the country 

The incumbent will primarily look after the organization of overseas fairs & exhibitions and buyer-seller meets, co-ordination of delegation visits to foreign countries, liaising with various ministries, departments and agencies of central and state governments. His role and responsibility will also include compilation and analysis of trade data related to apparel exports, submission of periodical trends and reports, attending stakeholders’ meetings with ministries and departments of the government and assisting the Secretary General in preparation of strategy and action plan for the apparel export sector.

Post Graduate Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Business Administration from a recognized University/ Institute.
 

Candidate should have sound knowledge of international trade issues including Foreign Trade Policy, Customs rules and procedures, RBI guidelines, WTO issues, bilateral and multilateral trade agreements, emerging ESG Framework and regulations and trade data analysis.  
 

Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in government or in the public or private sector.  Preference will be given to work experience in the Trade Promotion Organization/Industry Association/Export Promotion Council
