Scheme for Integrated Textiles Parks
Scheme for Integrated Textiles Parks
Scheme for Integrated Textiles Parks in 11th five year plan. Though the Indian textile industry has its inherent advantages, infrastructure bottleneck is one of the prime areas of concern. To provide the industry with world-class infrastructure facilities for setting up their textile units, the Scheme for Integrated Textile Park (SITP) was approved in July 2005 to create new textile parks of international standards at potential growth centers.

Government of India has launched 'Apparel Park for Exports' scheme for imparting focussed thrust for setting up of apprel manufacturing units of international standards at potential growth centres. The Apparel Parks for Exports Scheme has come into operation w.e.f. 23.3.2002.

Government of India has also launched 'Textile Centres Infastructure Development Scheme (TCIDS)'- for modernising infrastructure facilities at major textile centres of the country. The TCIDS Scheme came into operation w.e.f. 8.3.2002.
